Howdy friends!
I’m Kaitlin Hall, and I am just tickled pink that you’ve wandered onto this little digital porch of mine. If we were sitting together in person, I’d have a glass of iced sweet tea ready for you and we’d stay a while, but since we’re meeting through a screen, I’ll give you the "short and sweet" version of my story.
Deep Roots & Sunday Suppers
I was born back in 2000 in Longview, but I’ve called Cypress, Texas home since 2009. I’m a firm believer that there’s no place quite like home, which is why I still live right down the road from my folks. My mama keeps the books as a middle school librarian in CFISD, and my daddy serves as the Executive Pastor at Bear Creek Baptist Church. They’re my heart, and getting to do life so close to them—and our spunky 2-year-old Yorkie, Murphy—is a blessing I don't take for granted.
Speaking of blessings, I recently started the biggest adventure of my life! This past November 7th, I said "I do" to my wonderful husband, Aaron. Being a newlywed has been such a sweet season of learning what it means to build a home and a life together.
Saved by Grace, Baptized by Dad
The most important part of my story started in the summer of 2009. I was off at summer camp for the first time when I felt the Lord tugging on my heart, and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. The very next year, I had the absolute honor of being baptized by my daddy. It’s a memory I tuck away in my heart like a treasure; there just wasn't a dry eye in the house!
From the Hill Country to the Magic Kingdom
I’m a UT Tyler grad (Class of '23—Go Patriots!), where I studied Communications and History. After graduation, I traded my cowgirl boots for mouse ears for a bit! I moved down to Florida for the Disney College Program, where I worked at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. It was a whirlwind of a year, and while I loved the "magic," there’s just something about that Texas soil that called me back home.
The Things I Love
When I’m not "burning the midnight oil" (I’ll admit it—I’m a bit of a workaholic because I just love serving others!), you can usually find me:
In the Kitchen: Trying out a new recipe or whipping up something cozy.
With a Pen in Hand: I’ve always had a heart for reading, writing, and diving deep into a good Bible study.
On the Road: Planning the next Disney trip with my parents or just soaking up time with my friends and family.
Why "Frontier Faith"?
My vision for this site is to create a space that feels like nourishment for the soul. Life can be a bit of a wild frontier sometimes—messy, beautiful, and unknown—but we aren't meant to trek it alone. My mission is to share the encouragement and devotionals that help me keep my eyes on the Horizon (with a capital H).
I’m just a Texas girl who loves the Lord and wants to pour into the people around her. I’m so glad you’re here to walk this trail with me!
Blessings,
Kaitlin
